Saturday afternoon I had the wonderful opportunity to photograph a beautiful young lady, Nicole. The weather was overcast and raining on and off for the start of the shoot. The wind was also blowing briskly.

Both of these situations I think added rather than detracted from the shoot. The clouds made for a nice sky and the wind blew her hair nicely. Also an overcast, but bright day is great for portrait photography because you don’t have to worry about the direction of the sun.

As you can tell Nicole loves horses and it was a great learning experience for me to do a photo shoot involving a horse. Don’t you love the bare back and bootless look? I would love to take credit for that, but it was Nicole’s idea and doing 🙂

Nicole LOVES chickens so we had to get a shot of her with one of their chickens……Actually she doesn’t like chickens at all, but we caught one and had her pose with one for fun!

Some of my favorite shots of the day were these ones on the grass. The lighting was about perfect and the color truly popped.

We spent a little over two hours taking photographs. As the afternoon wore on the weather turned out to be fairly nice. The temperature warmed up from the brisk time with the rain and the sun came out.

Table rock made a nice back drop to a few of the shots. I like this one with the fence running diagonal.

After taking over 400 shots it was very difficult to eliminate and narrow them down there were so many great shots. I was only successful in getting the number down to 84 🙂 I hope you enjoy them as much as I did taking them. Thanks Nicole!
Great work! Keep it up!
Thanks Destiney! It has been fun doing these senior portrait shoots.
