This evening we had an enjoyable time with many others out at the Cowley Ranch in Little Shasta. Of course I brought my camera along, Taunya was making fun of me as I walked out of the house for bringing it.
When we arrived there I noticed a great picture from their front yard of the Little Shasta Church framed at the base of Mt. Shasta
As I was photographing the mountain and the church, a redtailed hawk flew into the frame giving me a shot of him against the mountain.
The lighting was a little harsh, but with some gradient filtering I was pleased with the composition. As is always the case, a few clouds around the summit would have made a more interesting photograph.
