
My daughter Ella went out to take some photographs of the full moon a couple days ago. This motivated me to get my Nikon 500mm prime lens out to take some photos as well. For a little more magnification I added my 1.4x teleconverter for a total lens focal length of 700mm.
Camera settings for this shot were ISO 100, 700mm, f/7.1, 1/800 sec.

I don’t know how many of you know this but the face of the moon is always changing slightly depending the day and time of year. This is another shot I took of the moon back in September 2020.

You can see the moon is rotated much differently between these two photographs.
