On August 5th, 2014, one of my friends, Kasey, and his beautiful bride, Katie were married for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Fun factoid, Taunya is related to the architect of the Salt Lake temple, Truman Angel. This marvelous edifice took 40 years to build and was completed in 1893.

I enjoyed taking photographs of the wedding, especially since I wasn’t the official photographer and had none of the stress that goes along with these shoots. It was educational to watch her, the photographer, work and the process she went through to get the shots the bride and groom wanted.

It was raining and overcast as we began the taking of photographs, but by the end the sun was out and shining brightly.

I always love the cake cutting and the feeding each other the piece of cake. Usually the personality and dynamics of a couple come out at this moment. Kasey and Katie were no exception! Such a fun and playful dynamic that will carry them through the struggles of life.
