Ella came to visit us in Alaska last November before she started University in January. It was great to have her here for a month or so. On Taunya’s birthday we took a trip to the beach. We were lucky enough to see some Beluga whales coming in to the mouth of the Kenai river.
Unfortunately I only had my 70-200mm lens with me and they were back lit. Had I been on the other side of the inlet/River mouth the shots would have been much better since the sun would have been at my back. Still it was great to see them.
We also got to see some harbor seals swimming around. Or maybe it was just the one we kept seeing over and over again :).
Beautiful scenery to enjoy with the sun shinning off the inlet, the snow covered mountains and the warm light of the setting sun.
