I decided to label my eagle posts by the date since I know there will be many different shots of them. Because I have to go to the Soldotna transfer station/landfill weekly and there are a lot of eagles there, it is the most consistent wildlife that I am able to photograph. Fortunately I love photographing birds raptors especially so this isn’t a downside for me. Although I’d like to be able to see and photograph some bears soon.
I took these shots with my 70-200mm f/2.8 with the 1.4x teleconverter for a 280mm focal length. I usually try to use a ISO around 400 to get good resolution but also to use a faster shutter speed.
