When I was in Utah this past week I went on a drive with my Mother and my niece Olivia along the Alpine loop from Provo canyon to American Fork canyon.
The fall colors were amazing and most of the aspens weren’t in color yet. Another week or two at the most and the aspens would have been at peak color also.
Unfortunately it was very hazy due to the fires in southern Idaho. This made it difficult to take long distance landscape photographs without introducing a lot of haze, even with a polarizing filter. Then on the way out of American Fork canyon we saw a fire that had just begun on the side of a mountain in some pretty rough terrain. This will for sure reduce visibility even more for the area.
These photographs don’t do the vibrant colors justice, but hopefully you will enjoy the fall foliage as I did!
