Well, my second son left this week for the Missionary Training Center, (MTC), in Provo, UT. After 9 weeks of language training here he will head to the St. Petersburg, Russia Mission to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Unlike when I went on my mission where the parents and the missionaries went into the MTC for a departure meeting and goodbyes, now you drop your missionary off at the front curb. They also hurry you up!
