Terrace Heights Memorial Park

October 5th, 2019 I sent out looking for some wildlife to photograph. I was hoping to use my newly acquired Nikon 500mm f/4 D lens.  Unfortunately the wildlife I found were some ducks and a couple of Trumpeter Swans in a pond at the Memorial Park.  They were close enough that I was able to use my Nikon 70-200mm f2.8 E lens.

Not that using this awesome lens is a bad thing.  It takes amazing photographs with lots of resolution and clarity.  I was just hoping to use my longer telephoto lens.

This is the first time I’ve seen a banded Canada Goose.  I wonder who it is that is tracking them?

Trumpeter Swans trumpeting in response to Canada geese flying over head and calling.

Most of the geese that were flying over i was either too late to try and take a picture of them, or the sun was in an awful position to capture a good image due to a back lighting situation.

Here is the full gallery of photos from the shoot.
